Attorney Ginine Hanco
Experienced Divorce, Child Custody and Family Law Attorney Serving Lee County and Charlotte County, Florida.
Albert Matthews is proud to have Ginine Hanco, Esq. - a dedicated family law attorney representing people throughout Lee County and Charlotte County. Originally from New Jersey, Ginine relocated to Florida where she academically outshined most. Ginine earned her undergraduate degree in English with a minor in Creative Writing, Magna Cum Laude, from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She later earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, with a Certificate in Family Law. While at Florida, Ginine gained valuable hands-on experience in the Pro Se Clinic, the Child Welfare Clinic, and a judicial externship with The Honorable Raymond T. McNeal. This ignited her desire to focus on helping children and families in litigation.
Now in her 20th year of practice, Ginine has focused exclusively on sensitive family law matters that require her to draft parenting plans, calculate child support, and negotiate alimony, conduct depositions, attend mediations, draft motions, make arguments in court, negotiate with opposing counsel, and even go to trial when necessary. Meanwhile, clients appreciate her ability to combine compassionate support with practical legal strategies designed to help them effectively move forward with their lives.
Ginine is known for serving as a Guardian Ad Litem when families need a third party to act as best friend of a child subject to court orders. Other attorneys and members of the judiciary often seek Ginine’s help to get to the heart of the matter as it relates to children in contested cases. In that role, she investigates how best to help that child and makes a report of her factual findings to the presiding judge, notwithstanding what the child says or does, but consistent with their best interest. Ginine has a keen ability to balance practical solutions while understanding the deep personal and overwhelming aspects of these cases - a truly unique skill. As an advocate, she has clients who feel involved, supported, and part of a team navigating them through what can only be described as a tumultuous process.
In addition to her legal work, Ginine has a strong passion for community involvement. Outside the office, she has advocated for animal rights and supported rescue and wildlife education efforts. She also loves spending time with her children, family and close friends who live in Southwest Florida.
At Albert Matthews, Ginine is proud to leverage twenty years of experience and her reputation for thoughtful guidance focused on the best interests of children in high conflict family law cases throughout Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte with trusted legal guidance, compassion, and dedicated representation.
